I went to the thread store up in Ventura for some dark grey thread and came home with this. Of course, once I got there I saw lots of dark grey, and medium grey, and then I launched in on a few neutrals, and some blues I knew I didn't have, and then a chartreuse Gerrie would die for. Aren't these yummy! Maybe one of the 12's should have grey as the starting color.
The Twelve's colors for this challange were blue, brown and sage and here is my piece. I've let myself relax a bit with trying to be deep and meaningful, and just started looking at line and shapes. This piece doesn't say anything other than I am pleased with the composition.
I think I have enough thread now to stitch my way through any challanges that come up. If not, I have the store hours memorized.

I think I have that chartreuse thread!!
Wow! All these threads are so yummy. I think I need to get this chartreuse thread too!
that thread store is dangerou$! but so fun! I love your composition too.
Funny how that happens in thread stores! I always come home with a bunch of threads but, somehow, never what I need for that next project. At least you've got chartreuse covered!
the photo below, the one with the chair, captures the color palette for the Twelves. I have 2 delicious embroidery threads stores close by, one around the corner...I never go into it unless I prepared with to splurge! It is impossible to come out with 1-2 skeins of threads! Your loot is drool worthy!
Karen,
I'd call that "Headlights on the Moon"
