A View Within opens in Chandler

Paula Chung and I were in Chandler, AZ this weekend at the Vision Gallery for the opening of our show "A View Within"  I've posted more photos on our blog site http://aviewwithin.wordpress.com, but I wanted to share some of the moments on this site too.

We've worked on these images for the last three years, and during that time our critique group has shared all the ups and downs with us.  Four of our members were able to join us at the opening which made it even more special.

My husband Ted is our IT dept. He runs the blog site, designed our logo, put together our mailings and photographs my work.

It was so much fun wander around and see our work displayed in such a beautiful setting.  Someone mentioned to us once that these images could be upsetting to the viewer, but what we heard over and over was how beautiful the human body is.

Vision Gallery has an Art-O-Mat, where you can purchase small cigarette packet sized works of art from the machine for $5.00.  My fellow Twelve Nikki Wheeler http://nikkiwheeler.blogspot.com has contributed to these in the past.

Here's Paula and I celebrating our opening at my daughter's house with two cakes depicting our premature infant  series.  I'm wondering what the baker thought!

We are both home now,  making more art.  Neither one of us seems to be tiring of depicting the body in it's various forms, in fact we are trying out new techniques all the time.

The Photographs do not do this show justice! This is a magnificent exhibit and I am awed by your talent.
