Catching Up

I came home from Houston to construction going on in my studio.

We had visited my artist friend Deb Weir  http://www.deborahweir.net/, and saw the wonderful skylights in her her home studio.  All the way home we talked about them, how much natural light they added to the room, and decided to look into it. I packed up my room before I left for Houston and this is what I came home to.

I was ok without my work area for a few days, but by Wednesday I was ready stitch.  We had set up my machine in the library and I'm working away on a piece I'm making for my collaboration with my friend Paula.

Before I left, my daughter Steph brought our new granddaughter Marlee to visit.  We took her to visit great grandma and they both look excited to see each other.

Then cousin Riley came over to check things out, and she looks interested in this new creature too.

I'm still on a glow from Houston, and excited about deciding on our new project, hopefully to be revealed in the next few weeks.
