Jetlag is a Drag

We have arrived in Seoul and it is great.  We arrived here about 6 in the evening and after a 1 1/2 hr ride to the hotel, we were wiped out.  We walked around for a couple hours to stay awake, and ate some weird soup that had no identifying pieces and ended up in bed by 10 pm.  This is a picture out of the hotel room at sundown.  Note that mountains in the far background are actually in North Korea.

The next day we went on a tour with a tour group which has its good points and bad. The good is that we were forced to stay awake all day, and that helps with the jet lag. The bad, is that there were 20 of us on the tour, at 8 different hotels so it tok over an hour to pick us all up. We went to Jogye Buddhist Temple, which had the colorful paper lanterns hanging everywhere.

This is a photo of Sam,his friend  Kenny and Ted walking aroud the Temple.

This is the changing of the guards which we caught at the end of the act,  and they looked so hot and miserable, but they were gracious enough to let us take pictures pof them.

This is the Gyeongbok Palace which was quite beautiful, and I can't remember anything the guide told me as I couldn't understand her. Good thing I read up on these palaces before we left.

We decided this could be next years xmas/hanukkah card.  There's 8 of us right?

OK, Sam and I shared a bottle of wine for dinner tonight, and Kenny and Ted shared a
bottle of something they thought was sake, but turned out to be whiskey, so we are all sleeping well tonight.
