Gone too long

I know I have been back over 2 weeks and haven't blogged, but I've been really busy.  Our new floors didn't start going in until the day after we came home, all the stuff we had packed up beforehand remained packed.  Of course that meant no kitchen, no studio, and lots of people in my house with hammers and drills. It's almost done now, just the stairs and the baseboards need finishing, and I'm back to cooking, which I haven't been able to do for 6 months.  It was worth it.

While in Korea and Kyoto, I didn't have much opportunity to shop.  If it had just been Ted and I, we probably would have done more, but with the two boys, we were focused on other things. I did manage to get to a great paper shop in Kyoto, and bought the paper you see above. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I needed it.

This is my finished piece for my group Digital to Textile.  To read more about it, go to http://digitaltotextile.blogspot.com/.  This week is also the reveal of the newest Twelve by Twelve, so tune in on Thursday.

That is gorgeous paper. I was beginning to wonder if you made it home.

I really like your finished piece Karen. Very dimensional.

I like what you did for the challenge. And this Japanese paper is beautiful. Did you find it in downtown Kyoto?

Great to have you back. Love the paper and the fact that you "had to have it"....
