SAQA auction

I made this piece a while ago, and while looking for something for the SAQA auction, decided it was perfect.  When I made it, the piece was about 16 x 16 and I really liked it that size, the problem is, it was very wavy around the edges.  I think this type of work tends to have that problem.  It was very heavily stitched, then because of the 100% wool batting, it shrunk heavily in the hot water wash and dry.  I cut it down to 12 x 12 and carefully stitched on the backing as it was still a little wavy.  I'm calling it Undergrowth as it reminds me of what you find when walking through the woods.

Wow, Karen! This is fantastic! and as usual I'd love to look closely and touch it -- I'm amazed at the gorgeous combination of textures you have here. This'll go FAST.

Hi Karen. This is a wonderful piece. There may be a big bidding war on this one.
