SAQA/SDA conference

I was at the SAQA/SDA conference in San Francisco this past week and while I have lots of images in my camera, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, so I took a photo of some of the work I made in a Holly Brackman workshop. Holly is a fantastic teacher http://www.hollybrackmann.com/index.html and the class was about using disperse dyes on synthetics.  I wasn't sure I wanted to get into synthetics, but after this class, I'm hooked.   I'm hoping to write more about the conference later, but I need to mentally unwind first.

Some really interesting pieces. I am glad you said that about synthetics as I am doing a class in August and was feeling a little uncertain being a cotton, wool and silk fan.

I'm looking forward to hearing about why you are now interested in synthetics. Always great to add new elements to our studio. Enjoyed seeing your samples.

I'll bet that was a great class Karen. I like the little I've played with disperse dyes, and I love Holly Brackman!
