This week I took a stitching class from Bob Adams http://www.bobadamsart.com/ and it was fantastic. This photo is of one of the quilts he brought to share with us and a close up of the stitching.
Isn't this stitching incredible. Bob is a master at using thread to change the color of the fabric, adding depth, and there is a glow about his work that makes it a real pleasure to look at.
After two days of exercises, we started stitching on a piece of our own fabric, and I used a piece of deconstructed screenprinting I had. I used polyester thread, without any shine to it, and I'm happy with the results.

Must have been a great workshop. His stuff is fabulous, and I really love what you have done with your piece!

He teaches a wonderful class - he taught at QBL last summer when I taught there and I wished I could have taken that stitching class. Do you believe that? ME??? Who hates stitching?
Wow, that's a lot of stitching. It certainly adds a lot of texture. I'm glad you enjoyed the class. Next time!
