Ohio, Part 1

I am in the middle of a wonderful week at the Nancy Crow Barn in Ohio, but I want to blog in sequence so I'm starting with Sunday at the Columbus Art Museum where I saw an exhibit of Dale Chihuly. Now, I'm not a big fan of Chihuly any more as I haven't seen a lot of new stuff in a very long time. But this exhibit had some old stuff, which was really great. The art above was a collection of baskets that Chihuly owns and that he used as inspiration for some of his glass pieces.
Chihuly lives part time in Santa Fe and he had this beautiful collection of blankets. These wonderful designs.
And this last photo is of paintings Chihuly has made over the years which inspired his glass pieces. I'm looking at him a little differently now that I can see his inspiration.

Tomorrow, some photos from the Jan Myers Newbury class at The Barn
