New work

After obsessively cleaning my workroom, I'm finally ready to make some art. Today I pinned a bunch of soda soaked linen napkins to my screenprint board and went to work. This is the only one I remembered to take pictures of, but I have lots of pieces wrapped in plastic, sitting out in the hot sun. Shouldn't take to long to batch today, it's over 100 outside. I wanted this to be a little more subdued, but after I wash it out, I can always overdye the whole thing, or take color out. I'm thinking about cutting the napkins up further, then forming some sort of collage with it. My mom much better, she walking around holding the walker we got her up in the air, just in case she needs it!

Cool! Not your weather, I guess! I am hoping for some 80s later in the week so I can do some dyeing.

Woo! It came out looking spectacular, Karen. Glad your mom is feeling better.

Here, fall is in the air. After a hot, rainy, muggy summer, the weather has broken and it is crisp and cool - perfect walking weather. Have fun with the rest of the napkin project (whatever it turns out to be).
