Challenge for March. I looked over some pictures I had taken in Santa Fe last month and decided to use this one of an entry way to a gallery.
I used Saral to trace the image onto white cotton sateen, then stitched on all the lines. Then I got my fabric paints out and my roller and just rolled over the top. This is a method used by Laura and Linda Kemshall in their book "The Painted Quilt", and similair to a method used by one of my favorite fiber artists
