I was at my local farmers market this week and spied this unusual looking thing. I asked what it was and it is a bittersweet melon. To serve, slice it thinly, saute in a little oil and drizzle soy sauce over it. Not me.

I say slice it thickly, paint it with fabric paint,

and stamp away.

Perhaps even photographing the stamping and making a thermofax image from it.

Sometimes the farmers market is about more than food.
