Road Trip

Ted and I are leaving on a trip soon to Sydney, Australia to see our son Sam and visit my Twelve friend Brenda and her husband.  After a week there, we are doing a driving vacation around New Zealand for two weeks.  We are hoping to meet up with another Twelve, Kirsti in Christchurch.

The last few vacations we've taken, I've tried stitching travel journals to keep track in my own way of the experience.  I've expanded it each time to include a few more choices.  The first trip was a micron pen and black thread.  Next, I added some watercolor paints to the mix.  This time I got really carried away and added several colored threads and some paper to rip up and paste on with glue stick.
I inevitably end up finishing these books after I get home basing my pages on the photos I've taken, but I can usually get at least one page done per day on the trip, and I'm hoping to keep up that pace this time.
