Take It Further

The Take It Further Challange for the month of February is your earliest memories and I immediatly thought of the Kennedy assassinations and the moon landings, but then I decided I wanted a more personal memory. When I was growing up my mom somehow latched on to a shoe salesman named Mr Hartzler. He recommended that I wear "special" expensive shoes to correct my high arch. I had to wear these puppies for years and I still have a high arch, which I don't think you can correct. These shoes were always black and white and always scuffed up 10 minutes after I put them on and not cool at all. Here is a picture of me in my Camp Fire Girl uniform with the lovely shoes. I'm thinking of doing a small piece (I learned my lesson last time), with just the shoes and maybe my stick legs in them

I used to dread the trips to get new shoes.... the only option for me was black lace up oxfords -- definitely not cool or comfortable!

Yeah...but did you have to wear yours the first day of Junior High...with socks? AND...I wasn't allowed to shave my legs! P.S. I still think you look cute in the picture!
